sight eyepiece part

what thingy am I missing out of this PH eyepiece?
there are little spring clips to hold a filter or something in slot at toothpick

There was a selection of glass colored filters that fit in a spring slot on the eyepiece. I have a few of the eyepieces myself.

Good job on the finding of the historical document above. As time went on, there are and were differing filters...clear, colored, and even prescription ground. J.H. Stewart also made them to fit the eyepiece.

I have a bunch in some boxes that I have yet to separate and see what they fit.

W H Steward will make you any lens or filter you want. And with the pound so low they are really cheap!

You also have a cut that permits light to enter the rear aperture. it is not too bad, but it can be distracting.
