Light Primer Strikes?

Have any of you experienced lps with your 10/22M's? I was at the range today and had about 10 out of 50 and was quite upset. The rifle is 18 years old but hasn't been shot a lot, but I did swing by my local gun store on the way home and picked up a power custom tune up kit including extra power hammer spring, improved sear spring, and extra power trigger return spring. I just replaced them all and hoping this is my remedy, but wanted to ask if any one else had experienced this and what you did?

Now I'm REALLY curious. I haven't seen that particular issue yet and want to know what to do should my buddy start getting LPS.

Most of the time light primer strikes are caused by a dirty chamber.. use a bent bore brush (22LR or a 243) with a home brew handle and some CLP or Hoppes... or buy this brush....

The other cause is the rare situation of sludge in the FP channel.. sometimes even the poor choice of dripping Loctite into the base mount holes while mounting a optic and guess where the drips go? Yupp.. into the FP channel thus impeding the FP movement.

Odds are, Chaser is right about a dirty chamber being the culprit. It's a super common cause of "LPS" Ditto on the Hoppe's no. 9, it will attack carbon faster/better than CLP
