Thought I would share some pics of my ES350. I don't know much about, but may start shooting it in some of our local matches. I bought it about 10 years ago. Seems to be in very nice shape, serial number is in 132,000 range. Also has a 4x Hensoldt-Wetzlar scope with it. The scope needs some work as there looks to be some chips in some of the glass. Only thing I see missing is the sight hood.

Nice rifle also. The biggest difference I see is that yours has the site rail markings on the right side of the barrel, mine does not have those markings. I wonder why? Both rifles are very close in serial numbers also.

I don't know why your's have no markings - I have a very early ES350 first type 79xxx, also without markings, maybe a customer choice ?

So without the barrel markings, could this be a ES340n? This has become somewhat confusing.

No, it's one of the first ES350 ever produced, may be a test or a prototype - with the the havier action, with the barrel who is exactly on the same diameter then the receiver, an unique caracteristic, and the full adjustable tangent sight.

I have the odd ball hybrid ES 340 that has the checkered pistol grip and the sliding rear sight. There was a small SN range in which they produced this sub-variation. I shoot mine as a plinker with open sights and it shoots very well.

Got my copy of Jon Speeds book on Mauser smallbores this week, a great resource. My rifle is one of the last Es350's made. My serial number is 12 above the one in his book, the highest number he had seen at the time of printing.

Tiger Jedi, your early Es350 is really sharp. Amazing what you can find on the internet. One of the earliest and latest of this model, and being able to see the differences.
