There are one or more dealers on Gunbroker who appear to me to be selling parts kits from police guns. Many departments cannot resell seized guns but will fall back on the receiver being the gun an let someone strip off the parts and just leave the receiver to be destroyed.

Of course there are jerks parting out whole guns, but dealers with a bunch of kits are probably stripping police guns.

Yes, I think that's what this company does. They are not just there for the easy dollars from parts. They sell full firearms as well. So this was probably a police seizure. I still wish I could have gotten the barrel also.

As an update I called Numrich today with no joy. I also put a call into Havlin's and spoke to Vic. He had no leads for me but did suggest an AD in the NMCA. So I will do that as well. Who knows ...Maybe someone has a barreled action in a closet.

One such seller on Gunbroker is Gunbusters 63005.

I'd like to know of others.

I don't mind sharing that info at all. I just want to make sure it's OK to mention a dealer here that isn't paying for advertising ?

Sorry, I didn't follow up on this. The company I bought the parts from is called New England Gun and Parts. I hope that helps.
