Well my 795/7000 Franken rifle has been together for a few weeks. Got a chance to take it to a range today.

The gun story is a 795 receiver/action on which i installed the barrel from a 7000 and is currently in a 7000 stock.
I got a good deal on a Vortex crossfire II 4-12 AO duplex scope mounted with a BKL mount.
The final goal is to have this ride in a walnut stock, probably Boyds pro varmint.
Ill post pics later today

As an overjoyed owner of a Marlin 7000 (in a plain synthetic stock) I find your project fascinating!

Do let us in on all your upgrades...so I can copy them

won't let me upload any more pics, but the tunnel is neat, 50yds with light at 25 and then again at 50. shooting table, rest and typical range target motor/cable system for target.

That's some fine shootin' Upland1911!

Try shooting 5 shot groups at each target and you are going to be amazed at what your 7000 can really do.

I shot one 5 shot group with my 7000 that is so small, that the hole in the paper is actually smaller than the bullets that slipped through the hole

Yeah, the hole measures 0.19 inch and a .22 bullet is...well, 0.22 inch! That flappy old NRA Target paper makes the hole look smaller than it really is--but even so, that group shows what the Marlin 7000 is capable of. I didn't even use high dollar Target ammo back then; just Winchester Power-Point 40 grain HP's; my squirrel hunting ammo.

Joining in late, but my 7000 prefers the 50 rnd boxes of CCI Blazer for tight 50 yard similar to yours and 100 yard ~1" groups. The Fed 550 bulk isn't too bad either. Never tried much else since I bought so much of these two brands before 2012.

I shot some Federal AutoMatch in my 7000 yesterday. Also some Federal GoldMedal Match, Blazer and CCI SV. I was just shooting 5-shot groups of each to see what they would do at 50 Yards. Trouble is, this rifle shoots everything so well it is hard to find an ammo that makes a group that looks any different than the others.

Finally I found one: Remington Golden Bullet HP's...not quite as good as the others.

But Reming Subsonic shoots good groups as well in this 7000. So do a couple of different Winchester loads: Subsonic HP's, 40 grain PowerPoint HP's, and even the bulk box 222, 333, 555's 36 grain HP's. It really likes CCI Mini-Mag HP's.

Federal bulk HP's don't shoot as accurately in this rifle, so I won't use it or the Rem. GB's to hunt.

Had to go shoot it again today.
Ran the federal and then 100 mini mags. Groups the CCI tighter. Looks like I'll be keeping my eyes open for more of them as well

Updating.
I swapped the 795 bolt for the 7000 bolt from the parts i bought. Sole reason was so i can use the DIP charging handle i had. Also moved the scope forward a bit to help with eye relief at max zoom.

Got some time to hit the tunnel range again yesterday. Not bad but was hindered by larfe amount of dust in tunnel thanks to some high caliber shooting a couple lanes down.

First pic is 30 rounds of federal automatch. Just getting setup and comfortable, working things out with my performance, breathing etc.

This target, reverse side of first, was cci minimags. Best group bottom row.
All 10 rounds at 50 yds.
