Scout scope option for Marlin 795/60?

so it's definitely possible, but I'm hoping to get something that doesn't require a gunsmith if at all possible (for lower cost). I hinted at this in my other thread, basically I was thinking something that would attache both at the rear sight dovetail on the barrel and at the mount above the action. Sort of a mash up of these two items:

But made for the Marlin 795/60.

The goal is to still be able to use my tech sights and have a scout scope mounted forward of the action.

Any ideas?

FYI, here's what it looks like on a 10/22 for anyone curious.

Here's a thread where it's on a model 60.

Gives a good idea of what I'm after (except I'd use see thru rings so I can still use the tech sights).

Here's another thread

From the silence it seems like there might be a straight forward way to do this, might require some custom machining.

Ready to use Scout mounts are usually a bit hard to come up with for most guns.

Of course, hiring a gunsmith is the easiest route but not inexpensive. I've heard of up to $300.00 for having custom fit silver soldered mounts put on the barrel.

Or, a gunsmith may be able to modify an existing weaver or picatinny rail to fit, but I'm still thinking it would be $200.00 or so.

Now, if you are the mechanical type of person or a machinist, you could make your own mount.

I'm not a machinist, but I recently modified a Picatinny rail blank to be a scout mount for a rifle of mine. It was quite the PITA since all I had to use was hacksaw, files, and sandpaper wrapped "dowels". It took a long time to sand the curves to fit the barrel in my case.

End result.
