I just picked up a Marlin 922M and sometimes it fails to fire.
Acts like the safety is still on--no trigger movement at all.
If you press up on the mag it seems to help most of the time.
Does this rifle have a mag disconnect? If so how to get rid of it?
It has the 7 shot mag. If you load all 7 it will not fire, works OK
with 5 or less if you press on he mag.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Coach

Tried it again this afternoon.
If you pull the mag slightly to the rear it will
fire every time.
Tried 5 types of ammo.
Hornady 33 grn BT work best. 5 shot
1" group @ 50yds. Too windy to try at 100.
I had 4 deer join me at the range this afternoon
shots didn't seem to bother them. I was down wind and
they came to within 20yds. All does.

Sounds like the magazine safety is not working correctly
