Last week at the range, I'm shooting my Mark I Target 678 and a couple of guys show up with Mark IIs, IIIs, and a Mark IV. We get to talking and make a comment on how hard the mags are to load.

Well, one fella shows me this little device, an HKS mag loader. Pretty dang neat. I ordered one from Amazon for $5. It is a miracle. Wish I'd have know about this years ago. There are two versions, one for the Mark I and Mark II and one for the Mark III.

How many of you use one of these or something similar.

I cut a slot into a 1/4" piece of plexiglass, makes it easy on the thumbs.

Yep I am a carbureted manual transmission guy myself, but when the kids quit loading my mags for me I may have to check into one of those ?

Don't for one moment feel you are alone there.

I've had some for many years. They work great, but I usually forget mine.

Say WHAT? You mean they now have something better? Good grief, next thing you know we'll be electing a non-politician for President.

Plastic cap off a water bottle - best thumb saver of all. Easy enough to replace when gets worn out!!

Those 6 7/8" are good shooters. I picked this one up recently, nib, little cleaning and deburring, it is one smooth shooter. And for packing around I really like the Mark 1, less things to snag or fumble with. Pull the bolt back and shoot. And this one out of the box is the best shooting Ruger I have,

I found a set of these RST22 grips new in the box recently from early 80's,
