I seem to have come too late to know her, but after spending some time reading about her projects and outtings--I have found that she is truly a remarkable person..

Heres one of her threads on womenanglers forum: http://womenanglers.us/Bulletin_Boar...opic.php?t=349

She liked Jeeps, hunting, and rimfires--I just wish I knew more people like her..

it says she passed away in the woods, i hope she passed doing what she loved most...

i think a lot of people can learn a thing or two from her, most people dont appreciate the outdoors as much as they should..

Unhappy

Been away myself, death in family. Just now seeing this bad news and so sorry to hear about it. I recall the last post of hers that I read and she alluded to being "at risk". Still, she died doing what she loved so there's some joy in that.
RIP

That is very sad news, although I did not know her.

How old of a lady was she?

Staci was in her early fifties when she passed. I knew her personally. Had the privilege of fishing with her a few times, and she was a regular on a web site I run.

She was a complicated person, not always easy to deal with. But, more than anything, she genuinely liked people and enjoyed helping and sharing.

She dealt with some difficult issues. She was diabetic. She survived a couple of heart attacks, a quad bypass, and numerous health issues related to diabetes. The fact that she was fiesty and high spirited, despite her life challenges is a testament the zest she had for life.

She shouldn't have been out in the woods alone. That she was, despite the risk, tells you what you need to know about who she was and what she loved.
