Buckweet,

I couldn't be more pleased with my Blued Fedderson .920 fluted 16.25" barrel

I didn't do all the mods you plan for yours, but mine shoots awesomely!

Sorry I can't post an image! The system says I am over my allotment, but doesn't tell me how to delete old attachments.

HELP!

Buckweet,

I mentioned earlier that I was very pleased with my Fedderson barrel, and the following is the reason.

I owned a Clark Custom 77/22, now passed on to my son, that was a very sweet shooter and bought the new 10/22 that I wasn't going to touch, just shoot it. Ya right like that was going to happen.

I like good triggers, so that was step #1 and things just went from there.

CCI Green Tag has for me always been a so so performer, but took it out with the Fedderson barreled, slightly tricked out 10/22 and WOW!

Three 50yd groups went 3/16", 1/4", and the third group went 4 into 3/8" with the flier of the 5 shot group opening it up to 5/8".

Then there is the 50yd. group shot 6/1/16 with Lapua Midas "M" that went 5 shots into 1/8" center to center.

The Clark Custom 77/22 was a good shooter, but the 10/22 has out shot it and is lighter and handier to boot.

Yep, I like my Fedderson barrel just fine!!

Well now!!
That sure is some terrific shooting!!
Sure gives me something to look forward to.
I've come to the conclusion,
Haveing 7 ten 22s..
You can only shoot one at a time.
I've got enuff parts in all of them to finish this one pretty quickly.
Spend a year just shooting one.
I do like what Feddersen says about break in.
(None)
Cleaning... ever now and then, drag a lightly oiled bore snake through it.
Call it good.

I too am extremely pleased with both my Feddersen barrels both bull barrels. I might have just been lucky but I feel they are as good as anybody else's barrel's in terms of accuracy and I feel they're a good value. I highly recommend them and their customer service great company.

I have yet to hear anything negative about a Fedderson barrel. Every review I've read basically says they are unbeatable as far as accuracy and the ability to feed them pretty much any ammo you want without issues. Can't wait for mine to come in

I started with the VLEH. So it's already got a Hogue stock which I like the way it feels, so that will be staying. Already installed Kidd complete bolt assembly (scalloped) with guide rod and charging handle, Kidd single stage trigger, Kidd speed mag release lever, auto bolt release, and buffer. It's already a great shooter without the Fedderson, can't wait to see what it does after the install.

Sounds like we're pretty much on the same path.
Bout the only difference between us, is the stocks.
We will have to compare notes.
When we get to finally shoot them.
Enjoy that rifle.
I'm going to start off with cci standards.

Good choice, I've always had great success with CCI ammo. It is my goal to round whenever I first shoot a new 10/22.
