Bought back my 10-22

A few years ago I sold a nice 10-22 with a checkered walnut stock to my nephew. I thought I wanted to get a custom 10-22 that cost me a bundle. Well I made a mistake, sold the custom and bought back the 22 from my nephew. I went to the range today and I really like this rifle. It's a lot of fun to shoot. I will say though that I just ordered a Brimstone trigger upgrade. Can't wait to get it.

You're gonna like that Brimstone trigger. I know I like mine and I've got 4 of em, 3 10/22's and a mini 14.

I too have a "nice 10-22 with a checkered walnut stock" (DSP). Thanks for your story - now I won't have to be tempted to get a custom 10-22 that will cost me a bundle Seriously, the DSP is a classic in my opinion.

Got her back and put together. The Brimstone Trigger work seems real good. I was looking for a sling a while ago and found someone selling the sling and a scope for $10. I didn't think I wanted the scope but now that I have it, it's kind of nice. Not the greatest but I couldn't beat the price. It's a Bushnell 3-7 x 22mm. The thing is, now I might want a better scope. Here's a picture.

I also have the DSP; never warmed up to the std carbine. The 7/8" and 3/4" tube scopes give a dark very narrow view. Try at least a 1" 32mm bell minimum to let the light in. A 3/4" Revelation was my first scope and took too long to find the squirrel in the trees.

I have a Nikon Prostaff 3 -9 on my DSP and it works extremely well, at least for me. It is a 1" so it lets in plenty of light. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, but you won't get it for $10, unless you are very, very lucky.
