Hi,

I am new to Rim Fire Benchrest. What MOA increase do people typically use on scope mounting to take a rifle sighted in at 50 yards and reach out at 100 and 200 yards?

Thanks Bob

A lot of people will use a 20 moa. IME a 10 moa has worked perfectly fine.

The come ups are 7 from 50 to 100, then another 18 form 100 to 200 for 1060 MV. You want the scope adjustments near center for your competition distance to get the best tracking.

Thanks, My Ballistic Calculator doesn't really cover RF, but for a 40 grain .222 projectile, cranked down to 1,100 FPS and zeroed at 50 yards shows 7.09 MOA for 100 and 26.57 at 200. I have to see how much adjustment a Weaver T36 has, for that is what is on this rifle. Mark appears On The Mark!

I will be switching to Burris Signature Zee rings with the inserts that will allow the changes needed while protecting the scope tube.
