Can I use two 10rd mags coupled together ?
Never shot an appleseed before trying to get ready for one in mid july.

ElkKiller, there is nothing saying that you can't couple the mags but it will probably slow you down in the transition stages. Try this experiment ... get into sitting position (with your coupled mags on the floor where your trigger hand naturally falls), have someone time you as you pick up and load your coupled mag, then drop it, reload it, and cycle the bolt. Repeat with two mags (again with both mags on the floor where your trigger hand naturally falls) simply dropping one and picking up the second and inserting it. I may be wrong but I think you'll be faster with two seperate mags.

I used coupled tri-mags and believed it to be a benifit in mag changes.

In the mag change stages on the 2rnd mag I only shoot one rnd, mag drops into my hand rotate and re-insert. Never have to cycle the bolt by hand.

I marked the rear of my mags with white out for rapid orientation ID.

Another key is setting up your nest for economy of motion.
