917m2S is the designator, I picked up a very nice one less than a month ago for $210 OTD and felt I did very well.

Rifle and one magazine with bases.

Yes Sir Culprit1, I have to agree and even went out of State to do it, small gunshop near South Boston Va., this was a consignment gun, I was tickled to death and got back across the Stateline quickly.

I know of 2 that sold in the past year . One was clean with a couple small nicks in the stock that sold for $250.00 . The other was like new condition and it sold for $300.00 . Same gentleman owned both and is a Marlin collector .

I had the blued steel plain wood stock version for several years that I gave to my son a year ago after I came across a nice used CZ 452 American in M2 that I knew the owner well and always wanted that rifle . He let me have it at a good price and it cleaned up very well .

I would not have sold my plain Marlin version for any less than $200.00 if it was a for sale item and not a gift . There are not that many around in M2 in my neck of the woods . Most guys that own them are die hard squirrel hunters and hang on to them .

Gerald that was a very nice find . I was tempted to give the $300.00 for the one my friend had in new condition . Looking back I should have . Yours is a beautiful example .
