I've been waiting for this gun for a LONG time. Today, it happened FAST !
Late last night, I got an email alert from Davidson's. A wholesale distributor.
Five had arrived at their "center". I'd been checking their "Gun Genie" often. No joy.
At 8:10 am I called my retailer who had "been searching". He said "do it in their Gun Genie".
I put a deposit on it at their Internet site, and designated my retailer.
His wife picked it up from the wholesaler, and called me at noon.
I bought it at 2 pm. It helps with both wholesaler and retailer in Prescott only 25 miles away.
I just checked the Gun Genie. None of the other four left. That was close. The Internet strikes again.
I'm a "happy camper" with the gun and the whole buying process. No pun intended.
Browning Buck Mark .22 Long Rifle semi-auto. The deluxe "FLD Plus with Rosewood UDX grips.
Blued/black finish. I didn't want stainless steel.
I have a bunch of stainless guns. Let's go traditional !
He recommended running a hundred rounds of "hyper" CCI Stingers first.
And then trying CCI Blazers. The local .22 guys seem to like them.
His 500 brick of Blazers was $19.00. $4.50 less than Midway USA.
Anyway, 32 grain Stingers are 1640 fps, the 40 grain Blazers are 1235 fps.
I guess it makes logical sense to break it in with more "go-power" ?
If he doesn't come up with the Buck Mark reflex sight and Weaver base this week,
he said "just get 'em through Amazon".
Gotta love a businessman with the customer's interests at heart. :bthumb:
We've got about 10 retail gun shops in my area. I "stumbled" on his store
by a friend's recommendation. I'd driven by lots of times and never noticed it.
Bill is now my go-to gun guy. Besides, his (my) price on the Gun Genie was the lowest of all.
Did I say I like him and his place ?
